I put Overwatch on my dad's machine to enjoy it when he's nearby, but I keep experiencing frame drops. His setup includes an FX 8350 watercooled GPU and an R9 380 with 4GB RAM. Initially, I adjusted the game priority to high and reduced other settings to medium. I managed about 100 frames per second, though there were frequent drops to 20-30. Later, I noticed the GPU temperature was near 80°C in the control panel, so I lowered the clock speed and increased fan speed, which improved things a bit but didn't eliminate the drops. I also tried enabling Battle Net to close when launching games, but that didn’t help either. On my own PC (i5 4590 with GTX 1060 6GB), I can run at ultra/epic settings smoothly at around 100 FPS without any interruptions. I’m still unsure what to do next.
