So how? Looking at esports income, WoW came in 10th place. Not great considering it's still trending downward. http://www.esportsearnings.com/history/2015/games And take it seriously, the main focus among gamers is on CS, Dota and LoL.

It'll be intriguing, though TF2 starts with a relatively small esport audience. With a $40 entry fee, cheating might drop, but overall participation could fall. From an esport perspective, it's worth noting Overwatch is competing in the same space as CSGO, even if it isn't a traditional FPS. It's already demonstrating strong competitive potential, and with Blizzard's support, we might see a significant increase in tournament backing compared to what CSGO experienced.

I highly doubt one of the most played games on steam is going anywhere over night.

Initially, those who grumble about game pay are just being silly. Let's move on. Second, Blizzard is a top company. They haven't released any game that didn't perform well. TF2 remains an excellent title and will endure alongside Overwatch.

If TF2 fails, it’s likely because Valve allowed it to happen. Right now, it seems they aren’t taking it seriously.
