It appears the issue stemmed from disabling adaptive bclk. Checking the voltage readings revealed a problem, so I turned it off. This stabilized the voltages, though overclocking caused issues again. I got instant sounds when launching the game and then nothing afterward. It seems resolved. Thanks!
This problem keeps happening despite my attempts to reset everything. It feels quite random. I’ve heard ASUS motherboards are known for this kind of issue, and they also deal with DPC latency. I chose her board for 100us, but my audio driver is the slowest—about 5us. I plan to reinstall drivers once they confirm which one is causing it. It seems the site doesn’t update drivers themselves; some forum users handle that instead, which is confusing. Positive reviews don’t help much since today’s info is limited. I can’t find every possible cause before getting the board, and it could be anything from drivers to BIOS or hardware. I’m not buying ASUS anymore for these reasons, especially their boards... They have a 20km thick I/O shield, yet this issue still occurs.
