Overheating issue with the Ryzen 5600x processor
Hello everyone, I own a Ryzen 5 5600X with an MSI GTX950 GPU installed on an MSI B550 motherboard. The system is watercooled using an MSI MAG water cooler and radiator, with four fans in total—two intake fans on the radiator and two exhaust fans. The BIOS shows CPU temperatures reaching 102°C. I’m unsure what’s causing this issue. The radiator spin speed is around 2090 RPM, and each fan spins at about 1600 RPM. All connections seem fine, but the overheating persists. After replacing the GPU, thinking it was throttling due to the older GPU, the CPU still hit 100°C in BIOS. The machine would shut down after roughly ten minutes of operation in BIOS mode. When I swapped the CPU for an older Ryzen 5 Pro 3400GE with Radeon Vega, the temperatures stabilized at around 35°C. The GPU itself looks fine, but it keeps overheating suddenly overnight. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
