Hi everyone,
I'm facing some issues after hours and after many failed tries to get my PC running. I built this about eight years ago, but now I finally have the time to use it. The CPU is reaching 98-100°C across all four cores. I changed the thermal paste already, yet temperatures remain high. The fans shut down aggressively, which suggests they're trying hard, but it doesn't cool enough. Any advice would be really appreciated.
Specs:
Intel Core i7-4770K Processor - Quad Core, 8MB L3 Cache, 3.5GHz, 84W, Fan, Unlocked Multiplier, 1250 MHz Graphics Core Speed - BX80646I74770K
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD5H Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Blu 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Kit 2x8GB
Corsair Hydro Series H100

Likely defective AIO – possibly a failed pump or blocked CPU area. Swap it out. Opt for a reliable air cooler instead. The i7-4770K does not need water cooling.

The recommended maximum temperature for the i7-4770K is 72.72°C as reported by cpu-world.com. I haven't observed it exceeding 70°C, but it's wise to be careful and avoid turning it on again until a cooler is installed.
