Overclocking with a single click – is it secure?
Overclocking with a single click – is it secure?
Hi everyone,
I just purchased a Colorful iGameGTX 1070 U-Top and saw online that there was a button for easy GPU overclocking. I've heard discussions about the risks involved—most people agree it's fine as long as voltage and cooling are handled properly. But it seems this feature is more common with software that lets you tweak settings extensively. I'm not sure if the overclocking option already considers voltage and heat changes. Could anyone share their thoughts? Thanks for your help!
Colorful won't force an auto overclock to unstable levels or excessive heat. Generally, auto overclocks provide more voltage than necessary. Still, the software won't adjust the voltage to unsafe limits, which would undermine its effectiveness. I should mention that manual overclocking is far more efficient.
