Overclocking TridentZ Royal Elite 3600mhz cl14
Overclocking TridentZ Royal Elite 3600mhz cl14
I recently purchased a 4×8 Gb DDR4 kit, Tridentz royal elite at 3600mhz CL14. I plan to connect it with a 11900k and an Asus z590 Maximus hero extreme motherboard. Can I overclock it to 4400 mhz at cl19 or 18? And what steps should I follow? I understand RAM won’t significantly help, but I still want to give it a try.
depends on the imc quality and ic quality of the ram, you could go 4400mhz but that will make your imc run at gear 2, which is half speed compared to regular gear 1. A 3600mhz cl14 is already sufficient, though if you wish, you should adjust the timings and subtimings to ensure stability. I generally favor a range of 3800-4000 if gear 1 is still possible, as it limits performance gains from both ram and cpu.

I'm using identical setup with the same kit, running 4000 cl14-14-14-35, trfc 305 txp 4, trefi 65555 or Max gear down and rank disabled at 1.55v. It's stable with 35ns latency on AIDA.
