Hello,
I’m trying to assist with overclocking this CPU to reach 4.0GHz or 3.5GHz. I’ve managed to get it stable at 3.4GHz with a good temperature, but I’m struggling to push it higher. I’m unsure if the issue lies with my motherboard since I’ve seen people achieve 4.0GHz there. I’m using the ASUS P8H61-M LE/CSM R2.0 and have the current BIOS settings. If there’s anything specific I should adjust to hit 4.0GHz, please let me know. Thank you! 😀

You're not compatible with this setup, as it requires an H-series board. The Z-series is necessary. Earlier Intel non-K processors might have been overclocked before, but Intel stopped supporting them after Haswell/Broadwell, likely due to Haswell/Broadwell.

3.4ghz is the stock clock speed. Since this is a non -k suffix CPU, it cannot be overclocked.
The only way is with a base BCLK OC, which can cause the PC to crash and do many other bad things.
If you want to overclock, buy a CPU ment to overclock with a -k suffix.

Thank you for the response I guess i'm stuck with 3.4GHz for now . It's a better improvement from the 3.2GHz that it was at.

Reviewed Phaaze post. I was mistaken.
The speed of 3.4ghz comes from the factory turbo setting.
