I have the h81m-p plus motherboard from Asus with the intel g3258, but whenever I attempt to adjust the core ratio, it reverts to the default 32. I was wondering if it's possible to overclock this motherboard and what steps would be needed.

I own a Z97 Chipset motherboard paired with the Pentium 3258 and have been overclocking it. Recent findings suggest that using Windows 10 may compromise the overclock stability. A relevant discussion is about an Asus H81m-e board with the G3258, where users share their experiences.

Overclocking the CPU isn't possible by adjusting the core multiplier, regardless of the motherboard.
