I adjusted my Kingston hyperx 2666 to 2933 MHz with a Ryzen 3 3200G on ASRock A320M-HDV R4.4, but after saving the configuration it didn’t work. Clearing the CMOS resolved the issue. Why isn’t it working?

Adjust the SOC to 1.15 and DRAM to 1.35. Then attempt booting with 2933. If it starts, run memtest86 and OCCT to confirm stability. Also verify your motherboard (if dual-chip) is installed in slots 2 and 4. Note: If RAM specs say 2666, anything above that isn't guaranteed—especially since the chips likely aren't high-quality Hynix, which isn't known for reliable overclocking. If the chip is Hynix I'd be cautious not to exceed 1.4 at MAX. A 1.35v setting seems the most secure option.

This guideline generally covers every DDR4 memory chip (at least for my experience). Updated July 5, 2020 by TofuHaroto

I’m comfortable using my B-Die at 1.45v for regular sessions, and I’ve gone up to 1.5v just for the thrill.

Fair enough. However, I prefer to stay within that limit.
