Overclocking RTX 3070 for mining
I have an overclocking concern. I began testing mining Ethereum using my alienware laptop equipped with an Nvidia RTX 3070 and 8MB RAM. The GPU memory clock is set to 1700mhz, core clock at -502mhz, drawing 140 watts with the fan running at full speed. The GPU temperature is currently 62°C. Is this within acceptable limits? Can I increase the memory clock further? What are the safe upper limits? Could these settings be maintained for several years without problems? Aiming for a hash rate of 67MH/s with the present configuration.
Don't push the speed too high; lowering the voltage is the better choice. You can boost the clock by around 160 mhz for both memory and processor to mine safely.
