Hi everyone. I'm facing an issue with my crosshair v formula z motherboard that uses a fx8350. When attempting to overclock the RAM to 2400 MHz, the PC fails to boot at all. Lowering it to 2133 MHz works fine. The RAM model is Corsair Vengeance Pro at 2400 MHz. I've tried various settings but haven't reached the desired speed. Any suggestions?

Only a handful of individuals manage to start the 2400 and run it smoothly, while 2133 is typically the maximum for AM3+. I opted for Sniper 2133 because of this issue.

AMD FX only allows a maximum of 1866mhz at most. You might be able to push it to 2133mhz if your motherboard supports it. I've managed to get 2400mhz running, but games keep crashing. However, achieving 2400mhz requires raising the DRAM voltage to 1.65v.
