I just attempted to boost my 3000mhz RAM to 3200mhz, but the system becomes quite shaky and often crashes with a blue screen after a few hours. This extra 200mhz feels unusual, especially since it’s such a small jump. The error codes I’ve seen include IRQL_NOT_GREATER_OR_EQUAL, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, PFN_LIST_CORRUPT, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED, SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, and ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY.

You can boost the voltage of the RAM, or you can operate it at 3000MHz and the 200MHz gap won't significantly affect performance.

Did you increase the voltage? Adjusted the timing settings? Typically, you also need to boost the voltage for stability or adjust the time intervals. For instance, if it's set at 1.35, try 1.36V.

I never felt the need to adjust the timing, raising the voltage felt more secure within my capabilities. It would make sense to consider doing it eventually.

It's understandable to be concerned about the stick's performance. While it functions well at 3000mhz, I anticipate issues at 3200mhz. I'm curious to understand the cause so I can avoid similar problems in the future. Using the computer without that stick would save 8 GB, which is a small price to pay. However, running a heavily modded Minecraft setup can consume over 8 GB, leaving very little space.

ram behaves a bit like processors in that regard, and I was already aware of it. However, I encountered issues during testing at 3000mhz with the default XMP settings. That’s something I can’t easily fix, so if it functions, it will work.

That’s not the point I was making. I mean the RAM experiences these issues only when it operates beyond its limits.

Reject the suggestion, it doesn't affect your settings or experience.

Really, I just needed to understand what was going on so I could address it later. If this wasn’t clear from the start, I should have specified my intentions instead of trying to make a big deal about it. I’m truly sorry for the oversight.
