I own a 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 RAM and a Gigabyte Aorus GA-AX370-Gaming K5 motherboard.
I recently discovered my RAM was only running at 2133MHz, not the 3200MHz it supports. After checking the motherboard details, I realized I’d need to overclock it to reach the correct speeds. But when I try XMP mode, the system crashes with a blue screen. I’m struggling to manually adjust the RAM speed in BIOS and need guidance.

Section 2-2 of your motherboard manual outlines the RAM frequency settings. Activate XMP, adjust the memory speed from 3200mhz to 3000mhz, and test whether it boots successfully.

snol200 :
Still no booting. Here are all the current settings.
Check the link for BIOS updates; maybe that helps.
This device isn't specifically designed for Ryzen. The specs on the RAM kit only mention Intel as compatible, and your motherboard doesn't list it either. You might need to tweak things a bit to get decent performance. Try a clock speed of 29333mhz. If that doesn't work, adjust the CAS latency to 18.

Current settings are still not booting. Check the BIOS update or adjust further. The specs suggest Intel compatibility, but your RAM isn't listed there. You might need to tweak things a bit to reach decent speeds. Try setting the frequency to 29333mhz and CAS latency to 18. It seems to work now. Thanks for the advice!

I mentioned things too quickly. Running 3DMark right away caused the screen to freeze.

Gaming performance is more influenced by speed than timing, so I aim to preserve speed as much as possible. You should be nearing stability if it starts now. Adjust the 'standard timing control' settings from top to bottom: 18, 20, 20, 20, 38.

I just attempted it. The system started but displayed a blue screen after logging in.
