The most reliable way to check your cooling capacity is to activate the upgrade, run a stress test (for example with an AIO for at least 20 minutes to let it heat up), and perform a task that pushes you beyond your usual limits—like video transcoding in Blender or Handbrake, or using AIDA 64. If you're usually comfortable around mid-70s to low 80s CPU usage during full load, but notice higher temperatures, shut it down or reduce voltage until things stabilize. For sustained performance, you’d likely need better cooling if you want stable temps and the ability to increase power. The 8700k is well-known for being quite hot, especially when overclocked.
