I own an EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Superclocked 2. After pushing it to +100 core and +300Mhz using a custom fan curve and power cap, I’m seeing fewer frames despite lower temperatures. I expected better performance but it doesn’t seem to be delivering as much. My CPU is an i7 7700k at 4.5Ghz, and with the overclock settings, the GPU temperature is around 63°C. Any advice?

Well first of all, if the game is using 60% of the GPU before overclocking, 50% would be the normal outcome, there is no way for you to get the game to ask more of the GPU, thats all optimisation on there end. Run heaven benchmark and test your results, games vary so much

GPU consumption without overclocking is about 80%, but running the Heaven benchmark gives a better score when I enable overclock, while games don't perform well even with it.
