Overclocking problem
Overclocking problem
I had to increase my GeForce GT520's clock speed to run Genshin Impact and it functions properly. It’s not great, but it works. However, I’m facing an issue where, during long sessions of 8 to 10 hours, the game freezes about two-thirds of the time. When checking the status at MSI afterburner, it shows a GPU frequency of 270MHZ and memory at 405MHZ with a temperature of 39º. While playing, the output changes to 915/570/ and temperatures between 70-75º. My thought is that the graphics card isn’t forcing Genshin Impact properly, possibly due to settings or drivers. After restarting the PC, it usually returns to normal, but sometimes I need to reset it again. How can I fix this?
70-75°C during gaming is typical for a system with insufficient cooling.
It only takes a few milliseconds for the temperature to drop noticeably when a game is closed or minimized.
Core and memory speeds will also decrease when not under load.
Observing these varying temperatures and speeds when closing the window to view Afterburner is completely normal.
The fact that the game freezes or crashes doesn't clearly indicate the problem's cause.
Consider reinstalling the game.
