Overclocking options help?
Overclocking options help?
I'm pretty sure I can't overclock my CPU because my motherboard doesn't allow it.
However, I was interested in trying to overclock my RAM and GPU.
I've already experimented with overclocking my GPU and managed to reach 1100MHz without issues.
I'm wondering if I can push it even higher. I'm not sure what target speed is best, so please share your thoughts. I really need an expert's advice on this.
Also, just a note, my case is small and doesn't have good airflow.
Let me know if you need more details. Thanks.
Gpu memory overclocking is common. Memory clock often exceeds the core-to-OC ratio easily. Keep testing memory until you notice a shutdown or driver error, then identify the stable OC for both core and VRAM.
You can't overclock your RAM with that mobo, but GPU overclocking is independent of what mobo you have as you've discovered. Every GPU will overclock differently, no one can say what your max OC will be. Just keep increasing the overclock until the card starts getting too hot or loud, or starts becoming unstable (graphical artifacts, driver crashes) while running a GPU stress test.

On my amd radeon settings for overclocking theres a memory clock option, Is that also for the GPU clocking?
