Overclocking on Asus P5QL-E Q6600 encountered issues.
Hello,
I've been attempting to overclock my [email protected] for bottleneck reasons, but every time I adjust settings in AI tweaker (like Multi, FSB, etc.), the overclocking fails. Each time I try, I just press F1 to load default values. Could someone assist me in resolving this issue and achieving proper overclocking?
Thanks

Hello,
I've been attempting to overclock my Q6600 at 2.4Ghz for bottleneck reasons, but every time I adjust settings in AI Tweaker (like Multi, FSB, etc.), the overclocking fails. Each time I try, I end up pressing F1 to reset to default values. Someone could help me figure out how to properly solve this and get it working correctly?
Thanks

Is the vCore being raised, attempt the FSB at 333 and adjust the vCore to 1.34 to check for booting?
Tradesman1 :
Are you raising the vCore (CPU voltage), try the FSB at 333 and set the vCore to 1.34 and check if it boots?
No. I'm still facing the same error. I can't modify any settings in AI Tweaker since after saving and booting I get an overclocking failure. Do you know if my motherboard has protection or save value features that I need to disable before overclocking?

If the OC fails, it returns to defaults and you must restart, you may attempt the above and increase the NB voltage by 0.10.
If the OC fails it returns to defaults and you must restart, you can try the above and also add 0.10 to the NB voltage. Thank you for your reply, but if I adjust any of these values like FSB, Voltage...I will encounter this error. What am I doing incorrectly? Should I modify other settings besides just FSB vCore and NB voltage? For instance, ram timing and other configurations?
