I'm a beginner here, but I'm planning to upgrade my PC soon. So I decided to overclock this machine to extract a bit more performance from the games I play. I accessed the BIOS, increased the CPU frequency to 4GHz (the base is 3.60 GHz but it's rated for turbo up to 4GHz), boosted the voltage, and ran a stress test. The system stayed under 3GHz in Task Manager, with CPU usage never exceeding 67% during load. I don't know how to fix this issue, checked online but found nothing useful. I went back to normal speed settings and still didn't reach over 3GHz under stress. If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

navigate to bios and apply the optimized defaults, which should resolve your overclocking issue back to the original settings. Note that 3GHz operates in power state throttling mode, and this behavior is typical when using igpu.
