Overclocking Non-Z170 BCLK using SetFSB
I recall being able to boost my Dell Optiplex 755 (LGA 775) using a Core 2 Duo E6750 visa with the base clock method and a program named SetFSB. To achieve this, you must determine your clock generator. You can overclock via base clock on older Z170 BIOS, but for non-Z170 models like B150 or H110 chipsets, identifying the clock generator is necessary. I’m planning an i5 6400 build without needing a Z170 board, and I received a free ID Cooling AIO cooler from a friend, hoping it would help with BCLK overclocking. Thanks in advance.
I recall they don't have an external clock generator, it's optional.
