Overclocking my CPU and memory
Setup:
Mo-Bo: Asus Sabertooth 990 FX 2.0
CPU: AMD FX 8350
Memory: G Skill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL (2 x 8 GB sticks). DDR3-1600 CL 10-10-10-30 1.5V
Cooling: Thermal Water 3.0
I’ve previously overclocked this system and seen others achieve speeds beyond 5.3 GHz. While I’m not aiming for the highest possible, reaching around 5.0 GHz would be ideal for my configuration. I’m also focusing on stabilizing the memory and pushing it to higher frequencies. I’m aware it can reach up to 2133 MHz, but I’m unsure how far I can push it with this setup. Since I haven’t overclocked in a few years, I’m a bit uncertain about where to start. Any advice you could provide would be very helpful.
