I own an AMD fx-6350 CPU with a stock cooler. I've often thought about overclocking to maximize performance but never had the time. Recently, I ran Prime95 and recorders using AMD OVERDRIVE, achieving a stable thermal margin of 15.5°C, which is good for USB. At 3.9 GHz it performed well. After increasing the clock by 100 MHz, at 4.0 GHz it maintained a steady thermal margin of 14.8°C with occasional drops to 12°C. Are these temperatures acceptable on a stock cooler? Should I keep running at 4.0 GHz? Thanks.

Times are fine, you usually handle 4.2 or 4.3 on that board without needing to adjust voltages.
The cooler with the 6350 is identical to the one with 8 cores, so you can manage it easily.
Turn off the amd turbocore feature when manually tweaking the clocks.
Actually, you should disable turbo on most of the fx chips regardless—it often yields better performance during games when it's turned off.
