Hello everyone, as mentioned in the title, I aim to overclock my GPU. I understand this isn't advisable for laptops, but I still want to try. To achieve overclocking, I'm using MSI Afterburner OCCT for testing and GPU-z. The issue arises because, after attempting to overclock, sometimes the GPU disconnects from the system after a few minutes, or worse, the whole setup crashes with a blue screen and errors. I connected a second monitor via HDMI wire (in case it helps) and am using a universal PSU from Trust Input 100/240v 60/50Hz Output 15/16/19/5v. The temperature stayed normal during the test, ranging between 55 and 70 degrees with a core clock of 790Mhz (normal is 775). Why is this happening? By the way, sorry if my English isn't perfect—it's not my native language.

High temperatures aren't the sole reason for overclocking issues. The components might simply be capable of handling the speeds you're applying. I'm uncertain about your goals, but I think it's best not to attempt overclocking here.

I'm looking for more details about the issue with the chips. I noticed some users online who successfully overclocked their card without any problems.

There are numerous factors influencing overclocking in laptops. Each device is unique. Cooling, power supply, RAM specifications, VRAM, and software all play important roles in determining the extent of overclocking possible.

If problems occur, it's usually because you exceeded the device's capabilities.

Calculagator :

I increased my GPU speed to 1160MHz and achieved 19-22 FPS in Lords Of The Fallen at Medium settings. Without overclocking, I got 12-14 FPS. So far, there have been no issues or glitches. I'm using Windows 10 PRO x64, Intel i3 2.6, and 4GB of RAM.
