Overclocking MSI MS-7309 K9N6PGM2-V is possible!
Hello, I have an issue I cannot overclock the processor for. I checked via BIOS and tried various programs, but nothing worked. The system shows no overclocking options—only frame adjustments are available. Sorry for the unclear English; I used Google Translate. My PC details are: AMD Athlon x2 ii 215, AMD Radeon HD7770 Sapphire Ghz OC edition, 2x2GB RAM at 2.20GHz, motherboard MSI MS-7309 K9N6PGM2-V, power supply Golden Field S460, 500GB HDD at 7.2k.
i know this is a year old thread but if you still have this mobo and cpu you cant unlock it. that list says the x2 220 and 215 can be unlocked but they cant. NO Regor cores can be unlocked because they are true to the cores listed
During late-night searches I discovered a BIOS for the motherboard '9.8'. This BIOS enables unlocking the processor with two additional cores and an extra 6MB cache. Here is the link: http://www.overclock.net/t/1005739/what-unlocks. The unlockable CPU reference list is available there. Now I need to determine how to update my BIOS.

you lack the necessary components for overclocking, such as a reliable power supply and aftermarket CPU cooler. this could lead to a non-functional computer. on ebay you might find a used athlon x4 ii for free. honestly, the best option would be a new pc costing around 400 dollars, as your current one is quite outdated.
