Overclocking Laptop GPU
Overclocking Laptop GPU
I increased the overclock of my laptop GPU, a GTX1050 with 4GB RAM, using MSI Afterburner by adjusting core and memory frequencies. However, I can't set power or temperature limits, and my GPU temperature remains steady at 70°C. It seems overclocking hasn't changed my usual temperature much. I'm curious if it's safe to overclock a laptop GPU when it stays within an ideal range.
The thermal limits and cooling methods in laptops generally prevent any overclocking. It's usually not advised, though thorough testing might avoid problems.
