Hi everyone,
Another inquiry from the experts...
A8-7650K - clock speed 3.3Ghz - Turbo 3.8Ghz - boosted to 4.2Ghz at 1.45v
iGPU at 720Mhz - OC to 960Mhz
Northbridge (Auto - 1800Mhz)
Hyper 212 Evo
Crucial RAM 1600Mhz - OC to 1833Mhz
MSI A68HM-E33 V2 Military Class 4 Motherboard.
PSU - Corsair CX600W
GPU (soon...soon...)
P-state limit - activated
Core C6 - turned off
AMD Cool'N'Quiet - turned off
AMD Turbo Core - turned off during overclocking.
During most overclock attempts, video clips in games would stutter, with minor FPS fluctuations without any obvious impact on gameplay.
Total War: Warhammer
Ryse: Son of Rome
Might & Magic: Heroes VII
Rome II: Total War
Crysis 3
Wolfenstein: The New Order
MOST of these appear in the video recordings.
The Sims 4 - this is strange. In the game, the Day/Night lighting keeps switching rapidly a few times per second. And no, this isn't the Disco Add-on version...
Any suggestions about what might be causing this? Could be memory problems or instability from CPU overclocking.
What’s the best method (software or otherwise) to identify the issue?
I forgot to mention - temperatures stay below 46°C, so a maximum of 50°C is safe...well, avoiding overloads (I used 1.4875 for 4.2Ghz, but realized I could go lower.)
Thanks a lot!
Appreciate your help.

Considering the OC of the iGPU from 720Mhz to 960Mhz might help. I aim to pinpoint the problem but if anyone has suggestions now, it would save me a lot of time! Time = Priceless.
OC = AWESOME 😀

I thought I discovered the issue.
It turned out it wasn't the iGPU frequency overclocking that caused the change.
Actually, saving the OC settings (currently 4.2Ghz at 1.4v) and restarting the PC with the overclocked configuration gives full stability.
Could anyone confirm if this is the usual procedure with AMD Overdrive?
1.) load PC
2.) overclock to stable settings
3.) reboot PC with overclocked, stable, settings
SUCCESS...?
It's strange talking to myself, but I’m hoping this helps others who want to overclock.
I now understand that modifying everything via the BIOS is ideal, though my BIOS blocks CPU Multiplier Overclocking (greyed out/unchangeable), while AMD Overdrive does allow it. Would anyone else agree that resetting the PC with the OC setting is somewhat like making a BIOS change?
Thanks to everyone for reading and I look forward to some replies... 1 would be great.
