I don't rely on extreme settings, but with more info, assistance might be possible.
- Besides the i7-6900K, what equipment is included in your setup?
- Which method do you use to overclock—BIOS or a utility?
- What aspects of Windows 10 could be contributing to the issue?

Windows isn't related to OC, but it may affect performance and frequency if the power-saving settings are incorrect or not selected properly. You can locate it in the control panel.
