I understand my CPU isn't powerful enough, but I need to overclock it. I've installed the Intel Extreme Tuning app. I'm curious about the maximum voltage I can set without damaging my laptop. I have a Windows 10 machine and use a notebook cooler for cooling. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I believe you're using a Core i7 5500u, which isn't an overclockable processor. The U stands for "Ultra-low power," causing it to operate more slowly compared to the non-U version.

Depending on the cooling method used by the maker, the TDP can range from a maximum of 15W to its minimum setting of 7.5W.

The manufacturer may also restrict the BIOS and adjust the TDP to avoid overheating.
