I want to try overclocking for the first time and have come across some guides on how to do it. However, the one I found includes a step where you overclock your RAM and adjust the "dram timing selectable," which isn't exactly clear to me. So I was wondering if I could just change the multiplier?

Overclocking RAM is seldom required unless you have numerous applications running. Still, it can be done by adjusting the multiplier. Have you looked into safe overclocking methods in those resources? If not, consider doing so.
