Overclocking I5 6600K
Overclocking I5 6600K
Determine the highest achievable GHz for your i5 6600K during overclocking with steady voltage and temperatures.
Overclocking comes with no assurances, and achieving 4.6 depends on your CPU, though the motherboard should not create issues.
The 4.5ghz-4.8ghz range appears to be the typical overclock setting.
Mine runs at 4.6ghz with 1.216v + offset. The cooler is an H7 model. I could try to go even higher, but I haven't done it yet. Temperatures in prime95 are around 26.6 ~70*C, which is perfectly okay there.
NewbieGeek:
It's running at 4.6ghz @1.216v +offset. Cooler is an H7 cryogen. I think I could push it higher but haven't tried yet. Max temps in prime95 are around 26.6 ~70*C, which is fine there.
But that's just my setup, not yours.

Leander_1 shared their experience with a build running at 4.6ghz and mentioned cooler specs. They noted it's possible to reach higher speeds but haven't tried yet. Performance in prime95 was around 26.6 ~70*C, which is fine. Still, this is specific to their setup.
I agree. The CXM series seems to be of lower quality, so I'd suggest an alternative if possible.
