After reviewing my earlier comments about a potential CPU upgrade, I chose a practical path and selected the 5700X3D for gaming. Previously, I was using this configuration (key components only): CPU: Ryzen 5 5500 (PBO -30/+200), Cooler: Deepcool AG400, RAM: 2x8 (16GB), Team T-Create Expert 3200C16 (H8C Single Rank, 3533C14 Overclock), Motherboard: MSI B450-A Pro Max, PSU: Deepcool PM850D plus custom cable extension case and airflow setup (Fractal Design Pop Air with exhausts and intake). More information about the previous build is available in this post. The main change was to switch to a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 2x16 (32GB) RAM, Klevv Bolt X 3200C16 (H16C Single Rank). You can find benchmark results here: PBO. There isn’t much to share beyond the fact that it works fine at full capacity and doesn’t crash during sleep. At -30, it maintains around 74°C under heavy load in Cinebench 2024. Further details are coming later. I’m convinced my current cooler needs replacement soon. I’d really appreciate your thoughts on this. This RAM package supports 4400C17 Desynchronised on my 5500, so it’s capable of more than just one tier up. I aimed for 3800 1:1 performance, but with the vSOC I’m limited to 1866 at 3733 1:1 before it crashes or loops. The problem appears when saving to BIOS—restarting lowers FCLK to 1800 regardless of settings. I wish I could redo this with 3733 1:1. tRC insists on a minimum, so it won’t drop too low. It was 74 at XMP and 83 during overclock; unlocking it to Auto lets it reach 991 and stay stable. How can I adjust the tRFC for better manual overclock? Even higher tRFC? Clock Stretch or Thermal Throttle? This chip always shows clock stretches in Effective Clock, even at low settings (about -100 to -200MHz difference at -20 or lower). With my AG400 it hits 85°C at -15, causing the core clock to fall below 4050. In Cinebench 2024, performance is better at -30 than -15, but I’m unsure if this is due to thermal throttling or other factors. Would using a more conductive cooler (like PCCooler RT620, Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120, or IDCooling Frozn A620) with CO off improve things? Or am I just experiencing normal behavior and should stick with -30 or -20?

I was really searching for it, but honestly, if I had bought a brand new S8B it would have been better to go with 7400F and 6000C32. The used market isn’t helpful for finding the right B dies. I’m super determined about this, no problem at all.
I own two sets of 3200C14 and one pair of 4000C17. I wouldn’t give them up unless I received the value I paid for them, honestly. It’s tough, man.
Yes? I paid a little over 400 just for those two pairs. I’d pay 600 if possible. They can handle 4000C14+ Polar pesos.
