I'm just starting out with overclocking and want to safely boost my GTX 780 STRIX 6GB. It seems like the CPU might be limiting performance, and I'm not sure how to handle this without risking damage. I've tried ASUS GPU TweakII but don't know the best way to do it properly. I plan to upgrade to a better GPU later, but right now I'm looking for a temporary FPS improvement in games at 1920x1080 resolution. If anyone has advice, it would be really helpful.

MSI Afterburner is an excellent tool that's simple to use. It allows you to benchmark your graphics card effectively and achieve solid performance improvements.
