You can observe the different GPUs mentioned in those discussions. This box here is an older custom cooled acrylic tube water build with twin Asus 780 DCIIs... my second son also uses his twin 970s. The third son has a 1070... I haven't checked that one yet.

I'm not finding any discussions about VRM temperature sensors in either thread. The main topics are voltage control in AB and bios modding. I discovered some related information, but it seems very limited for NVIDIA GPUs. I've always used EVGA and haven't seen a VRM temp sensor on their GPUs, even the Classys.
