I own an old laptop and I aim to get the best performance out of it. I have a 90w power supply and have already overclocked a GT540m 2GB from 670 MHz and 900 MB to 770 and 1050 MB. I’m curious if it’s possible to push it even further. I’m looking for advice from someone with more experience in GPU overclocking, especially with cards similar to mine.

Here are the details:
- CPU: i7-2630qm (turbo enabled)
- Stock GPU clock: 65 MHz
- Overclocked GPU: 68 MHz with 100 MHz boost from MSI Afterburner
- Current temps: CPU around 77°C, GPU at 65°C
- I built my own airflow loop for better cooling.

My airflow setup helped reduce temperatures by about 14 degrees. I’m eager to test further and would appreciate your insights. Thank you!

If you're heading beyond those time limits, then that's the limit. Unless you discover a method to boost voltage that's not a bad approach, you'll have roughly five additional chances to succeed.

I pushed it above 870 mhz and full mem without failure, maintaining stable frame rate and temperatures. My concern is how much further I can overclock it using a 90W power brick.

I pushed it beyond 870 mhz with full memory and it remained stable in terms of frame rate and temperature. My concern is how much I can still overclock it using a 90W power brick. It's difficult to say, but memory overclocking increases the TDP significantly, so it's best to keep the VRAM overclock conservative. However, you can push the core as high as possible without exceeding safe voltage limits.
