I have been trying to overclock my GPU for a long time but I'm having trouble. I increased the memory clock and core clock by 25 each time separately and tested it in MSI Combustor. I reached a memory clock of 560 and a core clock of 240. After stress testing with MSI Combustor, nothing happened. On the second day, I ran another stress test and my PC crashed. I started lowering them again but failed—actually, I changed my AMD FX 6300 to 4.0 GHz. Is this the right way to stress test? Should I use Prime95 and how should I check for issues? Also, does keeping the voltage at 0 affect the results? Thanks.

Practice with me, synthetic tests can reveal acceptable outcomes, and then PC may crash or artifacts might appear in games after overclocking. I recommend taking it slow and playing demanding games each evening. As long as there’s no throttling (like a noticeable drop in FPS) or any glitches, you’re fine.

Traditore shares his experience that synthetic tests often yield acceptable outcomes, but after overclocking PCs may crash or artifacts emerge in games. He advises taking gradual steps and playing demanding games each evening, ensuring there is no throttling (noticeable FPS drops) or any glitches before proceeding.

I set my voltage at 9, core clock at 240, and memory clock at 275. I don’t see any artifacts or crashes in MSI Kombu, but I crash and lag in CSGO?
