Is it beneficial to focus only on overclocking the GPU while leaving the CPU untouched? I have some specifications: an Intel Core i5-6500, MSI Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon, MSI GeForce GTX 970 GAMING 4G, and a Kingston HyperX Fury black HX318C10FBK 2/8. I discovered a method to overclock the CPU, but I’m unsure if it’s possible on non-K CPUs. I prefer to wait and confirm before proceeding with CPU overclocking. My goal is to ensure optimal performance by concentrating efforts on the GPU. Please let me know.

Besides comparing benchmarks, you won't see a significant boost in performance by increasing your CPU's speed compared to your GPU's speed.

Certain games see limited gains from CPU overclocking, while others do.

It's advisable to boost both your CPU and GPU for optimal performance.
