Overclocking fx 8350, evga gtx 970, Need help
Hey everyone!
I'm seeking some overclocking tips.
Here are my current details:
MOBO: asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0 UEFI Bios
CPU: AMD FX 8350 at 4.0 ghz (4.2 turbo)
RAM: 8gb Ripjaws xseries
GPU: evga gtx 970 with 4gb memory
Power supply: evga 500w b 80 bronze
I plan to boost both the CPU and GPU. I've collected some info so far and have a few questions:
- I'll need a new PSU, probably around 750 watts for safety. Any suggestions?
- More cooling is required. The Hyper 212x sounds like a good option. Will it suffice?
That's about it. Feel free to share any other recommendations you might have. Thanks!
