Hello, I recently attempted to overclock my CPU on an older PC with these specifications:
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Motherboard: Z170m-Plus
RAM: VENGEANCE® LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16 Memory Kit - Black
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz (4 Cores)
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
Power Supply: Corsair VX450W
Storage: 1 SSD with OS and 3 Hard disks
Initially, I wanted to mention that this was my first attempt at overclocking. I ran the CPU at 4,6 Hz with a voltage of 1,35V and completed a stress test using AIDA64 Extreme for around 19 hours. Everything appeared normal; the CPU temperature stayed below 70 degrees. However, when I stressed just the CPU, FPU, cache, and RAM, my game would crash after 30-45 minutes. I repeated the stress test this time with GPU stress enabled, and after 4-5 minutes it detected a hardware failure. I did not overclock the GPU at all, and I’m unsure whether to restart everything from scratch. If anyone can assist, I would greatly appreciate it.

if you interacted with the FSB (BCLK) clock, then this hardware issue might originate from PCI Express

Repair CS:GO's installation first, but you seem to have issues. It might be related to an unstable PCIe bus. The system agent voltage powers the PCIe controller (CPU VCCSA). Avoid overclocking the PCIe speed—it can cause more problems. Also, the Corsair VX450W could be faulty, or you might be drawing too much from the power supply.
