Disc: When playing a game, it begins to lag gradually, then freezes alongside other programs. The apps become unresponsive—there’s no clear indication they’re not responding. I can only rearrange them in the taskbar, but they remain fixed and don’t move back to the left. After a hard shutdown, it displays an overclicking failed message, forcing me into BIOS. My hardware wasn’t overclocked, and all settings were auto because I’m not familiar with wattage. After several restarts, I can return to Windows, but the same error persists when launching another game. I’ve attempted a factory reset, but it doesn’t help (I prefer avoiding a full reset).
Download HWinfo and keep an eye on your CPU temperatures before the machine crashes and restarts.
Consider entering the BIOS and checking for an option to Load Optimal Defaults... choose it and observe if it resolves the issue.
Consider entering the BIOS and checking for the Load Optimal Defaults option before exiting. Try selecting it to determine if it resolves the issue. That approach didn't help, as I was attempting to access Windows after a crash. No further actions.
I believe the issue stemmed from insufficient power delivery to the CPU under load. I optimized it to 4.1Ghz and raised the wattage from 1.04 to 1.1875. I conducted stress tests using a half-dead Kraken X61 with some Prime95, and I’m confident in its stability. If any problems arise, I’ll let you know.
