I understand this equipment isn't great, but I'm eager to improve and don't want to use the school computer. My aim is to get the best performance from my Gateway E-4610D. Where should I begin? Thank you ahead of time.

Verify if the BIOS supports changes to CPU clock speed settings. Expect limited results with a Gateway model. If you manage to boost the CPU speed, ensure your cooling system is functioning well—clean heatsinks, correctly placed shrouds, clean fans and grids—and then track the temperature. Begin by verifying if the BIOS supports changes related to CPU clock speed, though expect limited results with a Gateway model. If you manage to boost the CPU speed, ensure your PC's cooling system is functioning well—clean heatsinks, correctly placed shrouds, clean fans and grids—and then keep an eye on the temperature. Core CPUs performed well as overclockers, but they generated a significant amount of heat. Regarding the graphics card, any overclocking must be handled via the driver's control panel; Nvidia has restricted this functionality. Install the most recent Nvidia driver for your hardware and follow the available menus.
