Is it acceptable to increase the speed of my computer?
Here’s the information about my setup:
CPU: Amd Athlon 4x 860k
Cooler: Asetek 550lc cpu cooler
Mobo: MSI A68HM-E33- V2
GPU: XFX R7 360 2GB
PSU: 350 watt
Aftermarket fan: 120mm
A link is available for reference.
As mentioned, Zerk suggested it might not be sufficient power, especially since I’m using an AMD CPU which tends to consume more energy than Intel ones. Before confirming, I recommend running a power supply calculation and adjusting the wattage accordingly. I suggest using eXtreme for this purpose.
You should also consider the power supply brand in question—Ultra...

Not using a 350 Watt PSU is the right choice. The link you shared displays a 500 Watt low-quality power supply, which might actually deliver around 350 watts rather than the advertised 500 Watts. It would be better to invest in a more reliable power supply first.

Like Zerk said, that shouldn't be enough power. Especially since it's an AMD CPU, AMD CPUs use more power than Intel CPUs. Anyway before I say I agree with Zerk, go on a power supply calc and calculate how much wattage you need, but remember to include the overclock in the wattage calculation. I suggest using eXtreme, as it will suggest a power supply for you.

It's okay to overclock your PC, depending on the build. Your current setup includes an AMD Athlon 4x 860k CPU, an Asetek 550lc CPU cooler, MSI A68HM-E33 V2 motherboard, an XFX R7 360 GPU, a 350 watt PSU, and a 120mm aftermarket fan. You've shared a link for reference. Before proceeding, consider running a power supply calculation to ensure you have sufficient capacity, especially since AMD CPUs typically draw more power than Intel ones. Remember to factor the overclock into your wattage estimate. I recommend using eXtreme for its accurate recommendations. The power supply should ideally be around 28A (336 watts) on a 500-watt rail, though that may be challenging. Your build features manual switching at 130v & 220v, with various voltage rails and connector types.
