Overclocking at 13,600 kHz
i adjusted the multiplier to +6 and kept all other settings unchanged. left everything at auto mode and even set an intel limit to prevent exceeding 181w. the cpu ran smoothly across all cores, reaching 5.7ghz without issues. i tested with cpuz and achieved 927 on single core and 10,100 on multicore. my questions are: does a 13600k processor also experience performance loss over time? if i maintain a temperature of 90 degrees using the cpu's cooling limits, could daily operation cause any problems? additionally, why did my single core increase from 825 to 927 while the multi-core jumped from 9890 to 10,100?
Adjust the voltage yourself and it works, the boards push 1.55v when you don’t manage it—your own control prevents damage.
You're concerned about overheating during overclocking on newer platforms. Keeping the thermal limit at 90 degrees is a good start, but exceeding 1.4V could still risk damage. Consider monitoring temperatures closely and adjusting voltage carefully to stay within safe bounds.
Ensure the Vcore stays below 1.4v; it should work. You can adjust the limit in your UEFI settings.
Sure, I can help with that. The SSO 1.4v sets the maximum voltage limit. For a 13.6 kHz frequency, it depends on the exact specs, but you’re aiming for a high voltage—likely around 13600kV would be pushing the boundaries. That’s a strong signal, so you’re definitely in the sweet spot!
