Hey everyone, I just wanted to ask a question. I’m trying to boost my AMD FX 6300 to reach 4GHz, but I’ve found online that my Asus M5A78L-M LX3 PLUS isn’t ideal for this. Would I need to purchase a new motherboard to achieve the overclock? A list would be really helpful. Thanks for your time!
I’m not sure who told me it’s not a good board for overclocking. It seems you can reach 4GHz with that one. If you’d like, I can suggest another option.
I checked online reviews about overclocking this motherboard, but they’re not very positive. My friend recommended going with the M5A78L-M/USB3 because he’s managed to overclock it successfully. So, what do you think is better for overclocking: the M5A78L-M LX3 PLUS or the M5A78L-M/USB3?
