So I'm considering boosting some of my PC parts to get a smoother and more enjoyable gaming experience. Right now I'm playing Overwatch at 1280x720 (60Hz), with nearly everything set to High and Render Resolution at 75%, around 50-60 FPS, and I’m expecting Battlefield 1 soon. When Battlefield 1 was in Open Beta, I had to keep everything on the lowest graphics settings and resolution, staying between 45-50 FPS, sometimes even dropping constantly. Also, I recently purchased The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and set it to its lowest settings, which gives me a max of 20-32 FPS.

My current specs are:
CPU AMD FX-6300 3.5GHZ 6-CORE BOX
HDD SEAGATE ST1000DM003 1TB BARRACUDA 7200.14 SATA3
2 x RAM KINGSTON KVR16N11S8/4 4GB DDR3 1600MHZ PC3-12800
VGA ASUS RADEON R7 250 R7250-2GD5 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E RETAIL
MOTHERBOARD ASUS M5A78L-M LX3

My question is... Will my PC be able to handle an overclock? If yes, could you kindly suggest the numbers for each adjustment? I’m not very experienced, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot for taking the time to read this!

It's also worth considering your PSU. The FX chips consume a lot of power, and the FX-6300 has a TDP of 95W even when not overclocked. Ensure your PSU can manage this increased load. (I'd recommend a 450-500W unit from a reliable brand)

With a decent heatsink, the CPU could easily overclock. Your GPU is already factory-optimized, leaving little room for improvement there. Your system is currently at its basic level, so to achieve strong performance in recent games you’ll need additional boost.

Faktion :
With a decent heatsink your CPU could overclock pretty effortlessly.
Your GPU is already factory overclocked so your headroom there would be marginal.
Your rig is on the low end of things these days. If you are looking for good results in some of the newest titles you are going to need some more firepower.
I haven't noticed what heat sink I've got on my PC,so I'll check it out soon and I'll tell you. So correct me if I'm wrong; You're suggesting me to buy a new PC,right? (I don't know if it's a problem but) The problem is: I bought my PC on January of 2016 so it's still pretty new and also I don't have much money right now to enhance my computer... That is also why I'm thinking of Overclocking instead of upgrading. Anyway... Thanks a lot for answering some of my questions and making me understand where my problems are!
