Hi everyone, I'm starting from scratch with this build and want to push it up to 4.7 across all cores. Here are the details:
With those specifications I’m sure you can even reach above 5.0 Ghz across all cores (though it might get a bit hot for that X62, but it’s definitely possible). You’d adjust this through your BIOS settings. As a newcomer, I recommend watching several YouTube tutorials tailored to your specific motherboard or a comparable one. More than in agreement with thtran6... The 8700K can be overclocked to around 4.7GHz by simply changing the multiplier setting in the BIOS to 47 and keeping the rest at auto. This should provide a bit more Vcore. There are excellent guides specifically for your board within the BIOS overclocking documentation...
