Looking to boost performance on your 965 BE with a cooler master ml240. The guides you found are from ten years ago—did you know there might be newer options or tips?

You can get a powerful Phenom II X4 for around $10 and add more cores if needed. What are you aiming to achieve that requires extra power?

Sorry, it's an X4. I'm using a broken phone trying to get this done.

Attempting to use it for occasional games, avoid upgrades and just try to boost performance a bit more.

Is this just a lighthearted experiment or are you aiming for better performance since it's your go-to vehicle? You might have considered a chip that delivers top speed for the cost of your 240mm AIO. Nothing overclocking will fix its shortcomings in today’s games. It lacks the latest instruction sets, which is a significant drawback.

I received the AIO for free—it's essentially a low-end build I assembled myself, paying very little. Most of the components were free, and I received a lot for nothing. I'm using it every day to play games and do some work.

Aim for 4GHz at 1.474v or slower with a Northridge of 2.6 @ 1.2v. Stay under 60c and it's good to go. Use offset voltage to maintain CnQ performance. Have fun!

For the only PC you have, I wouldn't suggest attempting to boost performance unless it offers a noticeable improvement.

I managed to hit 3.9ghz at 1.4250v with the motherboard assisting the voltage settings. The northbridge is running 2.6ghz on Prime 95—hope everything checks out!

I'll take your word for it. I'll run it for a day and check for any issues.
