I’m considering overclocking my GPU because of its reputation for that. Now I’m thinking about my PSU, will it be able to support an overclock of the GPU? Since I’ve checked the Power Requirements for my GPU and it states a minimum of 600W, I’m wondering what additional MHz I should add and where to begin. I’m new to this process and need clear guidance. You might be curious about why I’m pushing this GPU, as I’m experiencing lower frame rates in games like AC Syndicate, Fallout 4, Witcher 3, Dying Light, etc. It seems this card struggles to sustain 60 FPS without Nvidia Gameworks at full settings 1080p. The card appears clean, and Adaptive Sync is active. Thank you very much.
It will depend on your overall power usage for the system. When I was using the SLI 970, my power draw was close to 560 watts, then it increased to around 980 watts after overclocking, which means I now consume about 530 watts. If you've increased the overclock, you'll likely need a bigger power supply.

I think you'd likely be using a lot more power if you overclocked, so you'd need a bigger PSU. Wouldn't be able to overclock your GPU with the current PSU?
It's possible but could put extra strain on your PSU and risk damaging components.
You might want to think about getting a wattage meter, as I did—it’s affordable.
Updating your BIOS is an option; I can help you with that. 😊
The Coolermaster V650 from Enhance Electronics stands out among its kind. Even with an overclocked 2600K (4.5Ghz) and an EVGA 980 Ti SC ACX 2.0, running on a Seasonic Platinum 660w, you won't put too much strain on it.
The Coolermaster V650 from Enhance Electronics stands out as one of the better units. You can comfortably overclock it. I'm using a 2600K (4.5Ghz) and an EVGA 980 Ti SC ACX 2.0, powered by a Seasonic Platinum 660w. This setup won't put too much strain on that machine.
I'm curious about the recommended MHz adjustments for Core Clock and Memory Clock. Should I pick OC mode or Gaming mode in OC GURU II?
