Overclocking a Celeron G1820?
Overclocking a Celeron G1820?
I wanted to overclock the Intel Celeron G1820 and had some questions before beginning.
The CPU is installed on an ASUS H81M-K board.
1. What is the most straightforward and secure method for doing so?
2. Could a minor boost be damaging to the CPU? If so, by how much?
3.(not related to the same topic, but if you know the answer please let me know) Are there any options to expand the cache size of the CPU besides replacing it entirely?
Thanks in advance.
Only a handful of non 'Z' chipset boards support OC functionality. I doubt the H81M-K qualifies. Thus, OC isn't possible. Increasing cache size isn't an option.

Purchasing a Celeron means acquiring a reduced version of another CPU.
It typically has significantly less cache and capabilities.
Even if you try to overclock it, the performance gains would be minimal.
