The new Intel HEDT lineup lacks the IHS soldered design, which means heat management will become a major challenge for these chips. Running core clocks at higher speeds demands a delid and cooling system—something you won’t find in an AIO or air-cooled setup.

Additionally, the 7820 isn't ideal if you're solely after a gaming processor. The coffee lake processors are coming soon, offering 6 cores and 12 threads on the mainstream platform, and they promise to be the top choice for gamers.

The new Intel HEDT lineup lacks the IHS soldered design, which means heat management will become a major challenge for these chips. Raising the core speeds will demand a dedicated cooling system and a loop... not an AIO or air-based solution.
Additionally, why the 7820 when you're after a gaming CPU? The coffee lake processors are coming soon—they offer 6 cores and 12 threads on the main platform and will be the top choice for gamers.
I believe he revised his description because initially it was positioned as a primary blender render rig for gaming, not the first choice.
